Gustav Eiffle

Overcoming dyslexia and a severe fear of heights,
the 'magician of iron' designed one of my favourite landmarks in the world.

The Tower was inaugurated today, 123 years ago for the
Universal Exposition in Paris, which also saw it's first automobile
at this Expo, the Mercedes Benz. Now it sees around 6 million.

Eiffle also designed the internal support structure for the Satue of Liberty.
The whole statue was pre-built in Paris, then dismantled and shipped.
