Auschwitz hero, Witold Pilecki

A Polish cavalry officer, Wiold is the only person known to have
VOLUNTEERED for Auschwitz. 

He bravely smuggled dispatches to the outside world
of the horrific atrocities he witnessed. 

He survived nearly 3 years of hard labour, beatings,
cold and typhoid fever before making a daring escape. 

His reports made it to high command who wouldn't 

believe his incredible stories to be true. Later, of course, they would

realize he was not exaggerating.
